PROJECT DESCRIPTION

 

As part of the makers movement Amanda Kay developed a product line of upcycled reclaimed woolen gloves with antique buttons. Hand sewn individually these garments have been sold at Mona, the MCA, The Tasmanian Design Centre and many other boutique fashion stores throughout the country. In 2011 her gloves were exhibited as an object finalist for the Tasmanian Design Awards. They continue to be a popular accessories in high demand, when she finds both the time to develop a range and enough recycled material in order to go into production.
