ARTIST STATEMENT
In collaboration with the staff and students at Peregrine School we set out to create an eclectic, vibrant artwork that could help the students understand the development of a public artwork through their school curriculum. The high school students worked with the primary school kids to create colourful shapes to form the background. Over the course of a year the students then learnt the art of stencil creation, with each student creating a piece that represented what currently sparked their imagination and what they would want to share with future students.
Many thanks:
To all the students that contributed to the artwork and to the teachers for their enthusiasm and to see this project through to completion.
