ARTIST STATEMENT

In collaboration with RANT Arts, T3D worked with a team of artists from the North West of Tasmania where we explored drought resilience and drought preparedness within our communities. We created 3 short films each animated in a different approach, creating a workshop series to engage the youth and build on the many skills and contributions from the participants. The project was lead by Karen Revie within the RANT Arts Pathways programs and project partners, offering a platform for the workshops that ran over two weekends at RANT Arts, Devonport. We worked closely with the artists to craft the scripts and each participant contributed their ideas to each video message before focusing on collage, animation or stop-motion sets. We thank everyone who attended and put their creative hearts into this project and thanks to the funding body who believed in the team.
