PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Professor Marcelo Stamm from the University of Tasmania commissioned a collection of portraits of famous philosophers. The artworks were purchased by the Philosophy Department and remain as part of the Universities permanent collection. Mr. Stamm provided a list of famous thinkers and the works were completed using a traditional drawing technique of pencil on paper. This was chosen to honor those timeless arts practices and compliment the purity and clarity of thought that each of these great figures offered the world.
